Duties:  Conduct two-credit university class on University Experience.  Class focused on acquainting incoming students with University policies and procedures, as well as with the resources USF has to offer its students, such as Career Counseling, Student Government, and Student Health Services.  Special attention given to developing a dialogue between the students.  Graded assignments and assigned grades at the end of the semester.

Duties:  Coordinate and supervise the physical inventory of all University items having a value of $1,000 or greater for all University locations and campuses; verify and process 3010 forms to declare items lost or stolen, verify and process 3008 forms for items which are to be surplussed as unnecessary to an outside vendor, as well as participate in the inventory process.  Use PC to create and maintain the departmental web site.  Use SAMAS database system to run and distribute reports to University departments in order to expedite the inventory process.  Use PC to access the Property Information Management System (PIMS) to upload and maintain university item records.  Make appointments to scan certain areas based upon the needs of the departments within those areas.  Perform basic customer service for all patrons.  Prepare weekly reports of statistics and occurrences during the inventory process.  Supervise four people, two of whom are responsible for the bulk of the physical inventory, and two managers who process the bulk of the surplus, transfer, and certificate requests.  Responsible for hiring and evaluating the personnel under my supervision.

Duties:  Checked items out to patrons using a PC with NOTIS database software.  Checked items back into library upon their return.  Placed hold/recall requests on items for patrons using NOTIS.  Created and maintained patron records, including processing overdue notices and collecting overdue fines.  Used PINE email program to process and respond to patron renewal requests.  Transported books to the various floors.  Sorted and shelved items according to Library of Congress numbering system.  Also sorted and shelved periodical media (hardcover volumes, current volumes, and microfiche/microfilm) according to LC call numbers and a system developed by the library.  Supervised 20-25 OPS workers in shelving and sorting items, as well as keeping the items on the floors organized.  Responsible for hiring and handling paperwork for those OPS employees.
